What an awesome weekend at Riverfest in Coleraine in Northern Ireland. The weather held up and riding conditions were good. Unfortunately, in terms of the competition, I didn’t do enough to take out my fellow World Cup rider Sam Carne so big congrats to him! Thanks too to Rob Skelly for organising such a sick event. The flyboarding was a great addition to Riverfest and the crowds, as always, thronged the water’s edge. Details

So stoked to make the podium at Wakestock and take 3rd place. Big congrats to Dan Nott on 2nd and to Sam Carne on his win! Big congrats to Megzy Barker on taking the 1st place in the Women’s division. It was an awesome weekend with sunshine, great music, calm water and a lot of fun.

Heading off to take the ferry to Wakestock today and it looks like the weather will be brilliant. Sunshine instead of rain! Should be a fun comp.

Flyboarding is awesome!

Hey everyone,

I’m just home from an amazing weekend at the Whitehaven Festival in the north of England. Dan Kavanagh, Ash Murray, Rob and Joe Skelly and I all ‘road tripped’ over together which was top notch banter! Details

Grand Canal Dock

Hey guys,

This week has been a week that will be remembered for a long time! Ireland got its first ever permanent cable system! I think it’s really going to change things for wakeboarding in Ireland. Not only for riders like myself who want to train as often as they can for competitions and to improve our riding as a whole, but also to really get the name of the sport and what it’s all about out there to everyone. Our ‘Banterful’ Trip

Last week we had an unreal trip travelling the country in convoy with Dan & Rebecca Kavanagh, Paul Johnston, Sian Hurst, Pete Stewart, Brian & Aisling Deegan, Lindsay Whelan and a few others. Luke Lee of Liquid Intelligence Photography took some sick shots, hopefully we’ll see some later. We rode all over the country, on the Shannon, Lough Sillan in Cavan and the River Bann and Lough Erne in Northern Ireland.

Comments Off on Wakeboarding at Xtreme Gene

Hi everyone,

I am out here in one of the best locations in the world for riding: Xtreme-Gene, near Cordoba in Spain. Since I got here 4 days ago it has been nothing but sun (40 degrees) and flat calm water. Yeah that’s “mucho mucho” hot for a fair skinned Irish kid!!!

Sunset at Xtreme Gene

When I first arrived there was a good array of riders including Dylan Mitchell from South Africa and Lucas Langlois from France, not to mention the two coaches Carro Djupso, from Sweden, and fellow Irish team rider David Coates (DC).So, as you can imagine with these riders, and the huge wake, the level of riding has been unreal and only getting better!!!
