Comments Off on How to Toeside Backroll – Step by Step – Wakeboarding

In this video I teach you how to do what I believe to be the easiest flip on a wakeboard. It’s called a toeside backroll because you approach the wake on your toeside edge and do a back summersault. The secret to learning this, is to actually do it one wake! Step by step:

1. Cut out 3ft-5ft from the wake

2. Take you back hand off Details

Comments Off on How to Backroll on a Wakeboard – Step by Step

This week we’re finally learning how to flip on a wakeboard! For many of us, this is so scary, however, there are two secrets to making it easier and less intimidating:

1. Know your basics – if you’ve followed the series you’ll be well able for it.

2. Learn it step by step, doing it 1 wake first. Details

Comments Off on First Flip/Invert to Learn on a Wakeboard

So often I get asked – what’s the easiest flip to learn on a wakeboard? The answer isn’t as simple as saying a backroll or a tantrum, it really depends on the rider. In this video I break down the 4 easiest flips: 1. Backroll 2. Toeside backroll. 3. Tantrum 4. Toeside Frontroll. On top of that, I discuss why some inverts are easier for some people than others. I hope you find this video helpful, and stay tuned for more specific tutorials. Thanks for watching. David Details

Comments Off on Wakeboarding – how to set up your Wakeboard

A quick little interruption in the Zero To Hero series, to show you how to setup your wakeboard. I’ve had few people ask about binding positions, directions and stance, so I thought I’d make a quick video with some tips. Hopefully it helps you setup your board, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments. David

Comments Off on Small wake – what is possible behind a 16ft Rib?

So as you may know, I love to test the ability of small wakes and what’s possible. ** link to riding jacket https://bay6ix.com ** Of course I’d love to be out on a Centurion Ri237, however, right now I can’t travel so this 16 foot rib is the best I can do! It’s got a 2 stroke 130HP Yamaha engine out the back and other than having very low torque in the early revs, it’s got plenty of power. Managed to get a few high end tricks in and I reckon with a little more practice I’d get even more done! Thanks so much for watching, and remember, wakeboarding and water sports are all about having fun on the water no matter how good or bad your equipment is! Thanks for watching. David Details

I first met Dave Av almost 5 years ago. At the time he was working a ‘normal’ 9-5 job. However, shortly after he decided to take the leap into becoming a full time professional drone pilot. Fast forward a couple of years and he’s flying and filming for DJI Global. He mostly shoots wakeboarding but has tried other sports like snowboarding and kiteboarding, with the dream of one day filming the X-Games. I hope you enjoy the interview and thanks for watching.
